Spots and uneven skin tone can be a stubborn and frustrating cosmetic nuisance. We
experience it after pregnancy and childbirth as hormonal pigmentation, after prolonged sun
exposure as solar pigmentation, or as a reminder of pimples and blemishes as post-acne
pigmentation.
Why does it happen?
The skin is the largest organ in the human body, its main function is to serve as a protective
barrier against dangers and hazards, such as: sunlight, microorganisms, temperature changes, and
more.
One of the most threatening dangers is sunlight. Just as sunlight is essential for human survival,
so too is overexposure harmful and dangerous. Ultraviolet radiation emitted from the sun can
alter human genetic material and thus create cancer cells.
One of our body’s defence mechanisms against this radiation is – pigmentation!
These spots that the skin produces are actually an excess amount of the protein melanin. A
protein also called “pigment” for the simple reason that its function is to give color to the skin,
hair, and eyes.
Excessive melanin production is the cause of spots and uneven skin tone. But is every spot on
our skin “justified”?
Well, the answer is no. Sometimes, a certain “bug” occurs in the cells that are responsible for
producing melanin. The control mechanisms in these cells, called “melanocytes,” do not function
properly, and as a result, the cells begin to produce melanin in an uncontrolled manner. And this
is how hormonal pigmentation is actually created.
And how can you treat it?
On two parallel levels:
The first is that it is very important to make sure to protect yourself from the sun. And not just
outside!
Sunlight passes through windows, and even when we are in the office or enjoying a day off on
the couch, it is very important to apply a sufficient amount of sunscreen.
And the second is to suppress melanin production in the cells in combination with lightening
agents. And it is important to note here: not always the strongest wins.
At Dermotive, we believe in gradual and stable improvement, effective and non-aggressive.
Our flagship product – MelaEase – does the job wonderfully, efficiently, and precisely. Without
unwanted side effects and without damaging the epidermal barrier.
MelaEase combines lightening agents that work directly on existing spots and lighten them, and
a unique patented complex that works to suppress melanin production in target cells.
The result achieved: A significant improvement in the uniformity of skin tone, lightening of
existing spots and prevention of the formation of new spots.
It is important to note: It requires a lot of dedication and faith in the process!
This law applies to any change you want to make in your life, and certainly when it comes to
your skin.
